Refund and Returns Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
At The Bag Studio, we want you to be happy with your purchase. If you change your mind about an item purchased from our website, you have rights under UK consumer law which are explained below.
1. Changing your mind
If you purchase an item from The Bag Studio online, you normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without having to give a reason.
After telling us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the item to us.
To request a return, please contact us at:
Email: info@thebagstudio.co.uk
Please include your order number and let us know which item you wish to return.
2. Condition of returned items
Items should be returned in an unused and resaleable condition wherever reasonably possible.
You may handle an item to the extent necessary to inspect it in the same way you would be able to in a shop. However, if an item has been used beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, or has been damaged or diminished in value, we may be entitled to make an appropriate deduction from your refund.
Please return handbags and other items with any original packaging, tags, accessories or protective materials where possible.
3. Return postage
If you are returning an item simply because you have changed your mind, you are normally responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.
We recommend using a tracked delivery service and keeping your proof of postage, as we cannot be responsible for an item that is lost while being returned to us.
4. Refunds
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it and process your refund.
Where you have cancelled your order under the statutory cancellation rights, we will refund the purchase price and the cost of standard delivery originally paid.
If you selected a more expensive delivery option, we are only required to refund the equivalent standard delivery cost.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.
We will issue the refund within the applicable legal timeframe and, where appropriate, no later than 14 days after receiving the returned goods.
5. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Your statutory rights are not affected by this Returns Policy.
If an item arrives damaged, faulty or is not the item you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and, where appropriate, photographs of the issue.
We will work with you to resolve the problem in accordance with your rights under UK consumer law.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other appropriate remedy.
6. Items that cannot be returned
Certain products may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right where an applicable legal exception applies.
If a particular product has a specific return restriction, this will be made clear before you purchase it.
7. Exchanges
We do not have to offer an exchange where you have simply changed your mind. However, where possible, we may be happy to help with an exchange.
Please contact us before returning an item if you would prefer an exchange rather than a refund.
8. Sale items
Sale and discounted items are still covered by your statutory consumer rights.
A reduction in price does not remove your legal rights where an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.
9. Our statutory obligations
Nothing in this Returns Policy is intended to limit or remove any rights you have under UK consumer law.
Where your legal rights provide greater protection than the terms stated above, your legal rights will apply.
